Dear Ian and Emily,
I am sorry it has taken a while to write this, I have been trying to think of the words to do it justice.
I am on the plane, making my way to Doha and when I boarded I felt a pang of ​homesickness to be leaving Bali. Not just the beautiful country with its incredible energy, but more importantly, the gorgeous people who have made such a difference in my life and helped me turn it around.
I know you don’t do woo woo Ian but my whole time with you guys was filled with spidey moments. We already discussed some of these but it continued for the duration of my stay with you guys. I think it was a combination of the energy of the wonderful people you have working for you and Bali itself.
I won’t forget that night when I arrived at Bali airport, hot and sticky and wearing two days old clothes. I can still remember Amelia’s smiling face, her glow, and the perfectly timed bottle of water she handed me. Her caring nature was evident within seconds and I instantly knew I was safe.
Those who haven’t struggled with their mental health won’t understand how important that concept is when you are feeling broken. If you are in a place where you feel safe, you can start healing immediately.
Everyone who worked with me, without exception, took their role seriously and went over and above. Amelia got up at 2:30 am for me, threw herself headlong into my care, and was and is there every day for me.
Emily, I am just in awe of your passion for your client’s needs. You too were there and still are for me. You quite literally work magic behind the scenes and make it look effortless. I love your infectious personality and how much like my little Mary you are.
Thank you just doesn’t come close to what I want to say. I arrived with you guys broken, numb, with no confidence. After four weeks I had the confidence and motivation to be able to go exploring on my own – with the back-up support of my Bali angels. Something the old Becca would never have dreamt of, let alone been able to do.
I was meant to come to Bali, I was meant to meet each one of you, and my journey to health I believe was mapped out well before I knew about it.
I am so grateful to you both for answering my first email and for taking a leap of faith with me. For the stunning villa, incredible food, awesome activities, and the team you put around me. I will never forget this life-changing experience and how I found my rainbow again.
